This is a calling to all concerned Boca Raton residents... ESPECIALLY AND MORE SPECIFICALLY LAKE WYMAN & NEIGHBORS... I AM GOING ON THE RECORD WITH A "PREDICTION" AND IT IS... THE 'DOWNTOWN" BOCA RATON BOAT RAMP WILL BE CLOSED AND RELOCATED TO LAKE WYMAN / LAKE RUTHERFORD PARK. In my view this will be a detriment to Lake Wyman and the surrounding areas... The downtown dock has many great attributes for boaters - proximity to Lake Boca and the Ocean are a couple... Lake Boca is contained by seawalls - Lake Wyman is surrounded by seagrass - Lake Wyman is home to many "Manatees", Mangroves and other aquatic species.... It is designated a slow zone area to ensure these are protected! In my view, Our city leaders seem to find the need to pave and "improve" every piece of Real Estate they can get their hands on... The environmental impact of a "Boat Ramp" in or near Lake Wyman will be significant and irreversible... The garbage and noise pollution will change the peaceful nature of our habitat forever.
